Modern Cast Iron Covered Roaster with Vintage Flair

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s always been a time to enjoy family, share good food, and delight in wonderful traditions without the madhouse atmosphere that sometimes takes over at Christmas. Thanksgiving has all kinds of great foods associated with it, from the main entree to all of the wonderful side dishes and desserts. I always look forward to my annual visit to the market to pick out the perfect turkey to cook in my beloved cast iron covered roaster. I’ve found that there’s just something about roasting fowl that really enhances the natural flavor of the meat.

I’ve enjoyed my roaster from the 1st day I bought it. Something about the bright red enameled exterior with its vintage vibe really appealed to me, but it’s also a thoroughly modern piece of cookware At nearly 5 quarts it’s the ideal size for roasting most poultry, pork and beef roasts, plus my favorite veggies. A great perk is that you can use it to cook on all different stove top surfaces (induction, ceramic, gas, electric), and the lid is a work of genius since it’s devised to be used as a grilling or baking pan too. I really adore having cookware that is great at multitasking -and there’s nothing better than owning roasters and roasting pans that give you a lot of bang for the buck.
