This Azalea Bonsai Has Me Thinking of Mother’s Day

I’m not the best planner in the world, in fact I might be one of the worst and for me to get a birthday, anniversary or sometimes even a Christmas present delivered on time is considered by my friends and family to be something of a miracle. But every cloud has a silver lining and when I do actually conjure up a suitable present – on time- the brownie points stack up big time. And that’s only one of the reasons that this Azalea Bonsai Tree from Zen Garden Bonsai is getting me very excited.

It’s the Mother’s Day Gift Idea that will keep me in the good books until I forget my Mom’s birthday! This is a wonderful little tree that was started in 1994 and it’s now about 14” tall. When the spring arrives, this azalea will dress up a bare spot on my Mom’s back patio, with a blaze of brilliant red flowers and shiny, deep green leaves.

My mother has never tried her hand at bonsai trees before, but she’s always loved to putter around in the garden and I think that this idea is just perfect for her. On top of ever thing else, I did some extra checking and found that bonsai are not really all that tough to grow. You just have to remember to water them.
